But purchasing a 'second home' that is 'user friendly', and I mean 'turn-key' is not so simple. But I can make suggestions to make your Vermont Ski Home 'dummy proof'.


How do I know these things? Because although I purchased my house many years ago, I did not occupy it from Easter through Thanksgiving for a number of years. As well, I had tenants, family, friends in and out when I was not up here, winters as well as spring-fall. Even during ski seasons, I might not have been here, physically, for a week or two at a time! So...yes, I do know what makes it 'turn-key' with no worries and I'd love to share those lessons with you!

I know, I know: with Realtor.com & IDX feeds, you feel like you can do it all by yourself. But why? All you can do is 'see' what a Realtor wants you to see. None of the bad, only the good, right? Kinda like those Match.com profiles..LOL. Not when I work for you.

I preview each identified opportunity. I Google map it for you. I take pictures of the surround area, homes, etc. I tell you, up front. what it will take to rehab a standing structure into your dream Vermont Ski Home...BEFORE you even see it. Imagine not wasting your time, but having a professional treat you like a 'client'...not a 'looker'. And when we have the 'winner' or a few 'contenders' you come in, preview them & make an offer. It's that simple.

Having completely rehabbed my own house, plus a dozen others in Vermont, I've learned 'what works' when you wish a 'dummy proofed' vacation home. From understanding the ins and outs of 'ice damming' & the damage it can wreak to looking for comprimised areas where wind-chills can freeze pipes to in-depth knowledge of the most advanced & efficient heating systems...I can make it seem easy.


It is my job to act as your eyes & ears, as your GC, to not only garner quotes for work needed on your purchased home but to be there on a daily or weekly basis to assure that all work is done in accordance with our prediscussed plans and to authorize payments to contractors when their work is completed, tested and approved by me.


How, remotely can I assure you all is well? Easy. With the use of digital video cameras and updates, as needed, even if it's to assure the color of the trim paint, the wood floors stain, the finish of the polyeurethane finish on the wood floors.
